Angela Susan Anton was born and raised on Long Island’s Gold Coast where she attended school and eventually where she raised her three children.

Her passion for community involvement drew her to the world of publishing and, after her marriage to Karl Anton Jr. she worked alongside him to help grow Anton Community Newspapers into one of Long Island’s largest publishers.

She succeeded her husband, Karl, as publisher and CEO in 2000, after his passing, and continued the tradition of excellence in the community publications. Today, Anton Community Newspapers publishes 18 weekly newspapers, Healthy Living, Dining Guide and The Boulevard Magazine in addition to third party printing.

Anton emphasizes the importance of giving a voice to the local communities. “Anton Community Newspapers focuses on local events such as school board meetings, legal notices, sports games, and art shows because they are overlooked in other New York papers and our goal is to make sure that the culture of Long Island is readily available for our readership,” adds Angela Anton.

To that end she continues to go out and support the community in her extensive involvement with charities, as well as sponsoring many local events.

In addition to the immense support she provides for the community, Angela Anton is also responsible for re-launching The Boulevard Magazine.  Therefore,  what was once an insert in the community newspapers has now grown into a bimonthly glossy magazine including celebrity profiles, charity events, fashion, design, and much more.  The re-building of the magazine came from her desire to create a publication that was both universally interesting and readable.

Anton’s professional objective is to always maintain integrity in all of her publications, while keeping the readership informed of local public events.
